Environment: Forest streams, muddy seepage pools, stagnant creeks

Water pH: 4.8 or less

In Aquaria:

Physical Appearance: 

•    Dull-colored
•    Males might have iridescent blue-green scales

Finnage:

•    Males have yellow on anal fin
•    Females do not have any colors or yellow on anal fin
•    Both usually have fringed caudal fins

Size: 5 inches in length

Water Temperature: 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit

Water pH: Acidic
