Betta Enisae

Another species of the Pugnax group of ray-finned gouramies (See Betta Breviobesus for the scientific names of the family and subfamily), the Betta Enisae are found in freshwater with a pH that ranges between 5.5 and 6.8. Found in the waters of the middle Kapuas basin of Indonesia. They inhabit the forest streams and live among leaf litter in the shallow waters along the shorelines. They do well in tropical aquariums and are sold commercially. They are also called Blue Band Mouthbrooder.
