Native Location: Bintan Island, Indonesia, east of Singapore

Environment: Shaded waters in swampy areas

Water pH: Acidic

In Aquaria:

Physical Appearance:

•    Slender
•    Ruddy colored body
•    Similarities to both Betta cocchina and Betta persephone

Size: 1.5 inches in length

Feeding in Captivity: Wide variety of foods both live and commercial

Water and Hardness: Soft

Water Temperature: 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit

Water pH: 5.8-6.5

Note: This Betta species is on the IUCN Red List as critically endangered.
