In Aquaria:

Physical Appearance: 

•    Black pigment on jaw
•    Black edges on lower gill plate (looks like a black Greek letter pi)

Finnage:

•    Dark blue edges on anal fin

Water and Hardness: Soft

Water pH: Slightly acidic – 6.0-7.0

Note: The Betta Pi is on the IUCN Red List for threatened species.
