Betta Pinguis
Finding the Betta Pinguis is distinct as it is only known to be in the Borneo waters of the Middle Kapuas basin. Kalimantan Barat, Kapuas basin, Sungai Letang near Kampung, Kandung Suli. They are easier to spot as their length is up to 7 centimeters. While of the same class as the Waseri, the family of Gouramies, they have a deeper body and shorter headlength than the Betta Chini and Betta Balunga. Differing from the other species of its like, it has the most pigmented opercle pattern with a very dark pigmented opercle distal edge and many spots.
