Native Location: Southeastern Thailand and Cambodia

Environment: Small, nearly motionless streams and shallow marshes

Water pH: Neutral 7.0

In Aquaria:

Physical Appearance: 

•    Male – Light brown body
•    Female – Three stripes
•    Iridescent green on throat
•    Colored stripe on head extending over the gill cover

Finnage:

•    Dorsal fins not elongated
•    Dorsal fin is spotted in brown
•    Dark margin on anal fin

Size: 4 inches in length

Feeding in Captivity: Live and frozen foods.

Water and Hardness: Neutral

Water Temperature: 78-82 degrees Fahrenheit

Water pH: Neutral 7.0

Breeding: They require a covered, dark tank and a diet of various live foods.
