Betta Pulchra

Pulchra is from the Latin for handsome, which defines the look of the Betta Pulchra. Of the Family Osphronemidae, and the sub-family Macropodinae, it is in the class of ray finned fishes, called Actinopterygii. Growing to about 5 centimeters, they live in freshwater, in the blackwaters along the shores and commonly only found in the wild vegetation growth in the canals of Pontian, Johor and West Malaysia.
