Betta Spilotegena
The Betta Spilotegena is one of the Waseri groups of Bettas that is on the critically endangered list. The Betta Spilotegena lives in the swamps as well as the nearby clearer water of the adjacent streams. The water depth of water is shallow, about 1 meter. There is dense vegetation growing along the banks of where they are found, as well as a good deal of shade. They are known only to be found in the northern part of Pulau Bintan in the Riau Archipeligo. They grow to about 7 centimeters.
