Question about lighting

Postby Aurora » Tue Jul 02, 2013 2:23 am

Hello, I have a question in regards to the lighting in my betta tank. He is in a 10 gal tank with LED lights in the cover. My question is do bettas need nighttime? I usually leave the light on all the time but am now wondering if I should be turning it off at night? He seems happy and sleeps with the light as it is, but I want to do what is best for my little guy. Thanks! :D

Hi!

Yes, I would recommend turning the light off for your Betta at night. Give him a sense or day and night. They would get this naturally in the wild obviously and this need carries over into captivity.
