New Betta - Gravel Rinse?

Postby Mistygrayc » Sat Jun 08, 2013 3:55 pm

I was reading in the learning section that I was suppose to rinse my gravel before I used it.

I just bought my Betta Baxter today and I have not put him in my one gallon temporary tank yet.

I'm waiting for my bigger tank to arrive and I'm going to cycle it.

Should I rinse the tank/gravel before I put him in?

I was worried that I stressed him out too much already today.

Any advise?

Hi!

Yes, it is a good idea to rinse the gravel before you place your fish in the tank. This will get rid of any loose particles and dirt. You can read more about that here: http://www.bettafishcenter.com/betta-tank-setup-1.shtml

Let me know if you have more questions:)
