Re: Tank Types
I have many Tetra cube 1.5 gallons, a tetra cube 3 gallon and a tetra 10 gallon starter kit and love them all!! They come with filters(my 10 gallon I got at petco and it came with a 50 watt heater as well!). I bought Betta stix 7.5 watt heaters and they keep the water at a great temp for everyone. I have also found them easy to clean.

I use a 3 gallon glass drink dispenser. It is very easy to clean as I simply open the spout and give the bottom a little stir. It is easy to add new water to the top. It is very appealing to look and both Bettas in this tank have seemed happy!

Re: Tank Types
Right now I have an unknown named brand for my 10 gal. I bought it used, but I guess it to be a Tetra. My 5 gal is a tetra with a Azoo Palm Filter. LOVE the filter btw. And I'm about to buy another one for Handsome. He was sharing a tank but he no matter what gets out and attacks. Currently nursing Sunset back to health because of him. So he's in a Critter Keeper till payday. I am thinking about a Fuval tank. More than likely the Chi.

Speaking of tank types, has anyone seen this yet? I saw this at the mall today. It is a Teddy Tank(???) I am not sure how happy a Betta would be in there. What do you guys think?

I think it's cute, but a complete disaster. I prefer my 10g tank. I also have a 2.5g minibow tank, and my 1.5 tetra cube.

All 3 of our bettas are in 2.5 gallon tanks of different shapes.

For my boys I have the Great Choice (PetSmart's brand) 20 gallon long divided three ways, with a black sand bottom, a Tetra Whisper filter and a Fluval heater. They all three love it.
For my sorority (which is once again thriving, thankfully) I have the Marineland 36-gallon bowfront and it is my favorite tank of all time (for now). It's a beautiful tank and I am so glad that I went ahead and caved in to get it, love it.
My sick/quarantine tank is a little Top Fin one gallon that has thankfully not seen a whole lot of use except for the occasional new girl who makes her way in.

Re: Tank Types
I ordered the 2 gallon Fluval Spec from Amazon. After 2 weeks of searching for the right tank, I finally decided on this one. I know ideally a larger tank would be better, but I really don't have the room. I wanted glass, and not something that looked like a child's toy. I wanted something easy to maintain too. I'm very excited about my choice, and after reading dozens of reviews, feel I made a good choice. Time will tell!!

We just got an elephant statue carved from "yellow" calcite I believe. Would that be ok in my tank?
